Sacramento City Councilmembers Rick Jennings and Sean Loloee Endorse Angelique Ashby for State Senate

SACRAMENTO – Today, Angelique Ashby announced that Sacramento City Councilmembers Rick Jennings and Sean Loloee have endorsed her race for State Senate.

“It is an honor to have the support of my Council colleagues as I seek to step into the role of State Senator,” said Angelique Ashby. “I look forward to our continued partnership in the years to come.”

Councilmember Jennings has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Fathers and Families since 1997. Before being elected to City Council in 2014, Jennings served for 12 years on the Sacramento City Unified School Board of Directors.

Prior to his election to the City Council, Councilman Loloee served as the Founder and CEO of a grocery chain and has over 28 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investor.

Councilmembers Jennings and Loloee join fellow Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang in endorsing Ashby for her Senate race. Ashby has also been endorsed by a number of former City of Sacramento leaders, including Former Mayor Heather Fargo, and Former Sacramento City Councilmembers Larry Carr, Steve Cohn, Lauren Hammond, and Allen Wayne Warren.

Ashby currently represents Sacramento City Council District 1 and serves as Vice Mayor of the City of Sacramento. Senate District 8 includes the cities of Sacramento and Elk Grove, and most of Sacramento County.
