SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Autumn Burke (D-Inglewood) today endorsed Angelique Ashby for Senate.
“I am proudly endorsing Angelique Ashby for State Senate,” said Assemblymember Burke, who chairs the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation. “As we aspire to increase the number of women in the Legislature, Angelique’s voice in the Senate will be crucial. Her experience, intellect, and passion will help us continue to move California ahead and I look forward to working alongside her.”

Ashby has also been endorsed by the California Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus and the National Women’s Political Caucus California, as well as a number of legislators, including retiring Senator Richard Pan, M.D., Assemblymember Jim Cooper, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, and Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan. Ashby currently represents Sacramento City Council district one and serves as Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Sacramento. Senate District Six includes the City of Sacramento, Elk Grove, West Sacramento, and most of Sacramento County.
