SACRAMENTO – Today, Angelique Ashby released the following statement following the first night of returns in the November 8, 2022 General Election:
“There are many votes yet to be counted and we are optimistic about the results so far.
Our campaign is grateful for all the support and deeply thankful to all the volunteers who put so much effort into sharing our priorities and vision. It is encouraging to see the voters’ response to the positive campaign we ran – focused on a new direction, of bringing people together to tackle tough problems and electing the first woman to represent the Sacramento region in the Senate in 20 years.

With nearly 67,000 votes cast in the race for Senate District 8, Ashby currently leads Dave Jones 51.97% to 48.03%.
