SACRAMENTO – Today, Angelique Ashby announced that she has been endorsed by the Fem Dems of Sacramento.
The Fem Dems are a leading local Democratic club who promote the feminist principles of equity, diversity, and inclusiveness and strive to get Democrats aligned on those principles elected to office.
The Fem Dems join a list of national, statewide, and local women’s organizations that have endorsed Ashby, including: EMILY’s List, the California Legislative Democratic Women’s Caucus, California Women’s List, Moms in Office, and the National Women’s Political Caucus – CA. She also holds a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, and a Gun Sense Candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action.
If elected, Ashby would be the first woman to represent the Sacramento region at the State Capitol in 20 years. Ashby currently represents Sacramento City Council District 1 and serves as Vice Mayor of the City of Sacramento. Senate District 8 includes the cities of Sacramento and Elk Grove, and most of Sacramento County.
