Today Angelique Ashby announced that Glaziers Architectural Metal and Glassworkers Local Union 767 (Local Union 767) has endorsed her campaign for State Senate District 8. Local Union 767 is an affiliate of District Council 16 International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, which services Northern California, Nevada, and the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Local Union 767 joins a growing coalition of labor support for Ashby, who also has the endorsement of the California Professional Firefighters, the State Building & Construction Trades Council of California, the California State Council of Laborers, the Sac-Sierra Building & Construction Trades Council, AFSCME Local 3299, IBEW Local 1245, Painters & Tapers Local Union 487, Sheet Metal Workers Local 104, Teamsters Local 150, and UDW/AFSCME Local 3930.
Ashby currently represents Sacramento City Council District 1 and serves as Vice Mayor of the City of Sacramento. Senate District 8 includes the cities of Sacramento and Elk Grove, and most of Sacramento County.
